It is now a few months since the last issue of CSI journal was published. We have happy memories of the Hyderabad conference of CSI which was a lively two day affair with delectable academic feast. There were complaints, however, of culinary feasts, and I suppose it was because of budget constraints and manpower management problems. Please remember that the well meaning but helpless organizers were in Mumbai and not in Hyderabad! I am sure those who come to conferences with a serious purpose do not worry about these minor setbacks as the prime aim is to interact, learn and teach. Those motives were certainly handled well. The speakers were good, the foreign faculties were well chosen and the scientific committee made the right decision by stressing the importance of panel discussions rather than monologues which tend to get drab at times.

CSI popularity is growing as ever. The office bearers have changed but the Hyderabadls and purpose remains the same. The popularity of the field and the society is growing rapidly and it is therefore important that the journal too continues its publications. However, I am sad to note that very few people are contributing to it. I therefore request members to please come forward and share their knowledge, ideas and opinions.
